Naomi Hede graduated from the Elder Conservatorium with a Bachelor of Music and since then has performed as a Soloist specialising in Italian and French Bel canto repertoire.
Her stage roles have included Mimi (La Boheme) conducted by Brian Chatterton, Pamina (The Magic Flute) conducted by Luke Dollman, Annina (La Traviata) conducted by Nicholas Carter, Festival Theatre, Mrs Naidoo (Satyagraha) conducted by Timothy Sexton, Her Majesty's Theatre, Susanna (Il Segreto di Susanna) and Laurette (La Chanson de Fortunio).
Naomi Hede has performed as a guest soloist with several Adelaide choirs and orchestras and has competed in many recital competitions and festivals. She has previously won two Recitals Australia awards and has won the Recital Championship in the Cowra Eisteddfod, New South Wales.
She was the recipient of the Aldeburgh Festival of Music and Arts Hesse Scholarship, Friends of State Opera of South Australia Dawn Wallace Award for Opera and was an Emerging Artist with the State Opera of South Australia.
Naomi Hede has also performed on the Cabaret stage in the original Adelaide Weimer Room and in the premier of Six by Seuss, composed by Rowen Fox. During the Millennium drought Naomi co-directed Salty Sprinklers a public space theatrical work by Urban Myth Theatre of Youth exploring sustainability issues and cultural connections to water.
